Dans les prochains jours, je compte sortir deux autres albums dont un quasi-totalement composés d’inédits dédié à Bob Dylan (l’autre étant un « Best of Bootleg is Resistance » qui regroupera le meilleur des trois volumes en un seul album plus facile à digérer).


Within the next days, I’m gonna release two other albums, included an album dedicated to Bob Dylan mostly including unreleased bootlegs (the other one being a « Best of Bootleg is Resistance » compiling the best of the three volumes, easier for your ears to digest).

Blurvana

					
A quick mashup and its negative, overused of the overused, let me be the first to mash them in both ways. Obviously, one of the two is better than the other one but they’re both worth it. EDIT: the links point to a newer & cleaner version.


Un mashup vite fait et son négatif, des sources usées jusque à la corde mais au moins j’aurai été le premier à le faire dans les deux sens. Il y en a un des deux qui est meilleur que l’autre en toute évidence mais ils valent tous deux le coup. EDIT: les liens pointent vers une nouvelle version de chacun des deux bootlegs.

Mash and Destroy

					
Sometimes you just need some material you wouldn’t dare dreaming of, here a Stooges acapella, to get a sudden flow of inspiration. I decided to decline this acapella into 3 different (violent) moods, modernizing it with QotSA’s track especially. I advise not listen to these 3 one after another (check the rest of my post) or you’ll get sick of the Stooges song, and if you’re not into NIN, don’t even listen to Mr. Self Destroy, it’s quite obviously the least interesting of the three, though interesting enough to get here. 🙂


Parfois il suffit de tomber sur le bon acapella ou instrumental dont on aurait jamais osé rêver (ici un acapella de Search and Destroy des Stooges) pour trouver l’inspiration. J’ai décliné cet acapella dans 3 styles différents (en restant dans un registre plutôt violent), en le remettant au goût du jour avec le morceau de QotSA en particulier. Je vous conseille de ne pas les écouter d’affilée (allez voir les autres bootlegs à la fin du post) ou vous allez vous dégouter de Search and Destroy, et si vous n’êtes pas fan de NIN, pas la peine d’écouter Mr. Self Destroy, c’est clairement le plus faible des trois, bien qu’il soit assez intéressant malgré tout pour figurer ici. 🙂

Je suis trop paresseux pour créer un post puis un artwork pour chaque botleg séparément et casser mon image de bootlegger stakhanoviste, mais ça ne veut pas dire pour autant que je ne suis pas fier de chacun des bootlegs que j’ai postés, il y a un mois de production de bootlegs là-dedans. 😉

Bootstock

					
DJ Zebra m’a demandé il y a quelques temps de contribuer à son album de mashups dédié à Woodstock, qui s’appelle donc Bootstock. Mon choix s’est porté sur le morceau très politique de Jefferson Airplane à un autre morceau aussi engagé du nouveau projet de Tom Morello avec le rappeur Boots Riley, le tout dans une version alternative à celle de l’album.


DJ Zebra asked me a while ago to contribute to his mashup album project dedicated to Woodstock that he naturally called Bootstock. I chose the very political track Volunteers by the Jefferson Airplane which I mashed to another song maybe as politically engaged of the new project coming from Tom Morello featuring the rapper Boots Riley, in a different version from the one in the album.
